Introducing Organizations — Plus Hockey Groups, Guardian Accounts, and More
Rosterlytic v2.3: Organizations for multi-team operators, hockey pickup groups, guardian-managed children, coach and manager roles, a private stats switch, and shared files.
Rosterlytic has always managed one team or one league at a time. This update moves past that. If you run a sports complex, a club, or a youth program — or you're a parent juggling more than one kid — v2.3 is built for you. Here's everything new.
Organizations
Organizations adds the layer above teams and leagues. Link every team and every league you operate into one organization, and run the whole thing from one place.
You get an org-wide player roster — every player across every team in a single view, filtered by team or by league. You get broadcast messaging — write one message, pick any combination of teams and leagues, and a push notification reaches every member. You get org-level Files & Links for the waivers, rules, and schedule PDFs that apply to everyone. And owner, admin, and coordinator roles let you hand out access without handing over everything.
One subscription covers it all — premium cascades to every team and league you link. Organizations is managed from the web dashboard and is available on the Organization tier. Full guide.
Hockey Groups
Pickup hockey, drop-in skates, and clinics — the crews that aren't a season-long team — finally have a home, built the same way as our pickleball and tennis groups.
Create a group, share the 6-character join code, and schedule typed events: games, practices, clinics, socials, or anything else. Members RSVP to each one. Game events carry full scoring with overtime and shootout result methods. There's a built-in group chat, optional seasons to organize events, and a Files & Links area just like teams and leagues.
Hockey Groups work on mobile and web, and they're free on every tier. Full guide.
Guardian-Managed Children
Parents have been asking for this one. Add the minors you're responsible for to your own Rosterlytic account — no separate signup for each kid.
When your child is on a team's roster, a captain, coach, or manager generates a one-time claim link (good for seven days) for that roster spot. Open the link, pick the child it belongs to, and the player is linked to your account from then on. Every stat, game, and jersey number that existed before the link stays — and if you ever unlink, the player's history stays intact.
Guardian-Managed Children is free on every tier. Full guide.
Coach and Manager Roles
Captain is no longer the only staff role. Coach and Manager join it, each with the same full edit rights to the roster, lineup, schedule, and stats — so the work doesn't have to funnel through one person.
There's also a Field Captain title: a "Captain" badge for a player who wears the C on the ice without taking on any management duties — made for youth teams, where the captain is often one of the kids. Manage roles from the web dashboard, or from mobile. Free on every tier. Full guide.
Private Stats
A privacy switch built for youth teams. When a captain turns Private Stats on, individual stats, chemistry, and position grades become staff-only — coaches and managers still see every player, but a player (or their guardian) sees only their own numbers, never a teammate's.
It exists because stacking kids' stats against each other invites trouble. Team scores and standings stay public either way. Private Stats is free on every tier. How it works.
Files & Links
Every team, league, organization, and hockey group now has a Files & Links area. Staff attach PDFs, images, and spreadsheets — roster sheets, waivers, code-of-conduct docs — or just paste an external link to a payment portal or a Google Drive folder. Members tap to open. Upload, add links, and delete from mobile or web. Free on every tier. Full guide.
Everything here is live now. Update your app from the App Store or Google Play, or log into the web dashboard.
