New York Yankees, 4 — Washington Nationals, 2. New York won 4-2 in Washington, taking a 2-0 series lead. The Yankees won Friday 5-3 in the same building.

San Francisco Giants, 4 — Colorado Rockies, 2. San Francisco won 4-2 to even the series at 1-1. Colorado had taken the Friday opener 4-3.

Boston Red Sox, 4 — New York Mets, 0. Boston shut out the Mets 4-0 at Citi Field. The Red Sox have won both games of the series — Friday 6-2, Saturday 4-0.

Cleveland Guardians, 4 — Miami Marlins, 1. Cleveland won 4-1 in Miami, taking a 2-0 series lead following Friday's 3-2 win.

Tampa Bay Rays, 6 — Seattle Mariners, 1. Tampa Bay won 6-1 at home, their second straight win over Seattle and matching the same lopsided final as Friday's 7-2 result.

Pittsburgh Pirates, 3 — Milwaukee Brewers, 2 (Doubleheader Game 2). Pittsburgh swept the afternoon half too, winning 3-2. The Pirates went 2-for-2 on the day — 7-6 and 3-2 — to take a 2-0 series lead.

Philadelphia Phillies, 4 — Detroit Tigers, 2. Philadelphia won 4-2 in Detroit to even the series at 1-1. The Tigers had taken Friday's opener 10-2.

Baltimore Orioles, 6 — Kansas City Royals, 1. Baltimore won 6-1 at home, extending their series lead to 2-0 after Friday's 5-3 win.

Houston Astros, 9 — Texas Rangers, 3. Houston reversed Friday's result in Arlington. The Rangers had won 7-3 Friday; the Astros answered with nine runs and won 9-3 Saturday. The series is tied 1-1.

Chicago Cubs, 5 — Cincinnati Reds, 3. Chicago won 5-3 in Cincinnati to even the series at 1-1. The Reds had blanked the Cubs 4-0 Friday.

St. Louis Cardinals, 4 — Atlanta Braves, 1. St. Louis has now won the first two games of this series — Friday 2-1, Saturday 4-1. The Cardinals held Atlanta to one run both days. The Braves are 0-2 heading into Sunday.

San Diego Padres, 8 — Toronto Blue Jays, 7. The night's closest game. San Diego came back to tie it and closer M. Miller secured the save to preserve the 8-7 result at Petco Park, evening the series at 1-1 after Toronto's 5-3 Friday win.

Arizona Diamondbacks, 9 — Los Angeles Dodgers, 2. Arizona won again at Dodger Stadium — 9-2 Saturday after 9-3 Friday. The Dodgers have been outscored 18-5 across two home games. Los Angeles hosts the series finale Sunday needing a win to avoid a sweep.

What to watch tonight

Fifteen Sunday games close the weekend, with eight series finales on the board. The headliners:

  • MLB: Arizona Diamondbacks at Los Angeles Dodgers, 4:10 PM ET on ESPN Unlimited. Arizona has won two straight at Dodger Stadium and comes in for the series finale. The Dodgers need a win to avoid a home sweep.
  • MLB: Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates, 12:15 PM ET on Peacock. Pittsburgh won both Saturday games and goes for the Sunday series closer. The Brewers have not scored more than six all series.
  • MLB: Atlanta Braves at St. Louis Cardinals, 2:15 PM ET on MLB.TV. The Braves dropped both Friday and Saturday to the Cardinals and need a Sunday win to avoid heading out of St. Louis without a win.
  • MLB: Houston Astros at Texas Rangers, 2:35 PM ET on MLB.TV. The series is tied 1-1 after Friday's 7-3 Rangers win and Saturday's 9-3 Astros win. Sunday decides.
