Fifteen MLB games closed the first half Sunday, with Arizona's sweep of the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium the headline result. The Diamondbacks went 9-3 Friday, 9-2 Saturday, and 5-3 Sunday — all at Chavez Ravine — outscoring Los Angeles 23-8 across the series. Seven sweeps landed in Sunday's final card before the All-Star break. The NBA and NHL are in their offseasons.
