MLB — Friday, July 10

Arizona Diamondbacks, 9 — Los Angeles Dodgers, 3. Eduardo Rodriguez moved to 8-3 with a 2.29 ERA, limiting the Dodgers at their own ballpark. Detroit Tigers, 10 — Philadelphia Phillies, 2. Detroit put up 10 runs at home to take the series opener. Philadelphia had blanked Cincinnati 1-0 the night before; the Tigers answered Friday with 10.

New York Yankees, 5 — Washington Nationals, 3. New York opened a new series in Washington with a 5-3 win. The Yankees had just split four games in Tampa Bay.

Baltimore Orioles, 5 — Kansas City Royals, 3. Baltimore took Game 1 of the home series, 5-3 over Kansas City.

Cincinnati Reds, 4 — Chicago Cubs, 0. Cincinnati shut out the Cubs at home, 4-0. The Cubs scored nothing.

Cleveland Guardians, 3 — Miami Marlins, 2. Cleveland won a one-run game in Miami to take the series opener.

Tampa Bay Rays, 7 — Seattle Mariners, 2. Tampa Bay won 7-2 at home over Seattle.

Boston Red Sox, 6 — New York Mets, 2. Apple TV carried this one. Boston won 6-2 in New York to take the series opener.

Texas Rangers, 7 — Houston Astros, 3. Texas followed up Thursday's 7-6 win over the Angels with a 7-3 win over Houston — back-to-back 7-run games at home.

Los Angeles Angels, 4 — Minnesota Twins, 3. The Angels won 4-3 in Minneapolis to take the series opener.

St. Louis Cardinals, 2 — Atlanta Braves, 1. Atlanta came off Thursday's 10-5 win in Pittsburgh and opened in St. Louis. The Cardinals held them to one and won by one.

Toronto Blue Jays, 5 — San Diego Padres, 3. Toronto won the series opener in San Diego, 5-3.

Colorado Rockies, 4 — San Francisco Giants, 3. Colorado won 4-3 in San Francisco. The Giants had taken Thursday's game 8-2; the Rockies answered to split.

Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates — Postponed, inclement weather. Rescheduled as a Saturday doubleheader: Game 1 at 12:05 PM ET, Game 2 at 4:05 PM ET.

What to watch tonight

Sixteen games Saturday, including the noon Brewers-Pirates doubleheader making up Friday's rainout. The night game: Arizona at Los Angeles again at 9:10 PM ET, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto going for the Dodgers after Friday's 9-3 loss. FS1 carries Red Sox at Mets at 4:10 PM.
