Tuesday belonged to Carolina and to a pair of MLB beatdowns. The Hurricanes flipped the Stanley Cup Final on its head with a 5-3 Game 4 win in Las Vegas, Jordan Staal scoring twice to lead a wire-to-wire performance that sent the series back east tied 2-2. In the National League, the Dodgers hung 12 on Pittsburgh at PNC and the Cardinals shut out the Mets 7-0 at Citi Field in the biggest MLB margins of the night. NBA Finals were dark before Wednesday's Game 4 at MSG.

NHL — Hurricanes even the Cup Final at Vegas

Carolina Hurricanes, 5 — Vegas Golden Knights, 3. Stanley Cup Final Game 4 at T-Mobile Arena. Carolina jumped to an early lead and held off a Vegas push, with Jordan Staal scoring twice to anchor the win and send the series back to Raleigh tied 2-2. Game 5 is Thursday in Carolina, with the Cup Final now a best-of-three.

NBA — No games

The NBA Finals were off, the day between Spurs-Knicks Games 3 and 4. New York leads the series 2-1 and hosts Game 4 Wednesday at Madison Square Garden, 8:30 PM ET on ABC.

MLB — Fifteen-game Tuesday board

A full Tuesday slate that ran on lopsided NL beatdowns at PNC and Citi, a Tigers rout in Detroit, and a stack of one-run AL knife fights.

Los Angeles Dodgers, 12 — Pittsburgh Pirates, 3. The Dodgers buried the Pirates by nine at PNC Park in the night's biggest margin.

Detroit Tigers, 10 — Minnesota Twins, 4. Detroit ran the AL Central matchup at Comerica by six over Minnesota.

Los Angeles Angels, 10 — Houston Astros, 1. The Angels handed Houston a nine-run loss at Angel Stadium in the late AL West window.

Miami Marlins, 10 — Arizona Diamondbacks, 6. Miami pushed past Arizona at loanDepot park, plating ten in the interleague-feeling NL matchup.

St. Louis Cardinals, 7 — New York Mets, 0. A clean shutout at Citi Field — the Cardinals held the Mets to zero across nine.

Colorado Rockies, 7 — Chicago Cubs, 3. Colorado took the Coors Field NL Central crossover by four over the Cubs.

Oakland Athletics, 7 — Milwaukee Brewers, 5. Oakland edged Milwaukee by two in the West late window — a reverse of Monday's 15-14 marathon.

Chicago White Sox, 6 — Atlanta Braves, 5. Chicago took the interleague game at Rate Field by a single run over Atlanta.

Seattle Mariners, 6 — Baltimore Orioles, 5. Seattle held on at Camden Yards by a run in the AL West / AL East crossover.

Cincinnati Reds, 5 — San Diego Padres, 3. A late-night Petco game, decided in extras on a Sal Stewart go-ahead two-run homer for Cincinnati.

Kansas City Royals, 5 — Texas Rangers, 3. Kansas City handled Texas at Kauffman by two in the AL Central / AL West matchup.

Washington Nationals, 6 — San Francisco Giants, 3. Washington took the Oracle Park interleague game by three over the Giants.

Tampa Bay Rays, 4 — Boston Red Sox, 3. A one-run AL East game at the Trop, Tampa Bay edging Boston by one.

Toronto Blue Jays, 3 — Philadelphia Phillies, 2. Toronto took the interleague game at Rogers Centre by a single run over Philadelphia.

New York Yankees, 3 — Cleveland Guardians, 2. The Yankees grabbed the AL East / AL Central game at Progressive Field by one over Cleveland.

What to watch tonight

NBA Finals Game 4 owns the night at MSG — Spurs at Knicks, 8:30 PM ET on ABC, with New York leading the series 2-1 and one win from a stranglehold. The Stanley Cup Final is dark on a travel day before Thursday's Game 5 in Carolina. MLB fills the rest with a full 15-game Wednesday board headlined by Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers at PNC.
