The Knicks held off the Spurs 107-106 in Game 4 at Madison Square Garden to take a 3-1 NBA Finals lead, leaving San Antonio one loss from elimination. The MLB board ran 15 games deep, with the Giants and Nationals trading blows in an 11-10 finish and the Pirates erasing the Dodgers 9-8. The Stanley Cup Final was dark on a travel day before Thursday's Game 5.

NBA — Knicks take a 3-1 Finals lead at the Garden

New York Knicks, 107 — San Antonio Spurs, 106. NBA Finals Game 4 at Madison Square Garden. New York survived a one-point thriller to take a 3-1 series lead and put the Spurs on the brink of elimination. San Antonio now needs to win three straight to keep the season alive, starting with Game 5.

Miami Marlins, 8 — Arizona Diamondbacks, 0. A clean shutout — Miami held Arizona to zero across nine in the night's most lopsided line.

New York Yankees, 8 — Cleveland Guardians, 4. The Yankees handled Cleveland by four in the AL East / AL Central matchup.

St. Louis Cardinals, 9 — New York Mets, 2. St. Louis rolled the Mets by seven in the NL Central / NL East crossover.

Tampa Bay Rays, 7 — Boston Red Sox, 5. Tampa Bay edged Boston by two in an AL East game.

Baltimore Orioles, 7 — Seattle Mariners, 2. Baltimore handled Seattle by five in the AL East / AL West matchup.

San Diego Padres, 5 — Cincinnati Reds, 4. San Diego edged Cincinnati by a single run in the NL West / NL Central crossover.

Athletics, 4 — Milwaukee Brewers, 3. The Athletics nipped Milwaukee by one in the AL West / NL Central matchup.

Los Angeles Angels, 3 — Houston Astros, 2. A 10-inning AL West finish, the Angels edging Houston in extras.

Colorado Rockies, 3 — Chicago Cubs, 2. Colorado slipped past the Cubs by a run in the NL West / NL Central matchup.

Chicago White Sox, 2 — Atlanta Braves, 1. Chicago took the interleague game by a single run over Atlanta.

What to watch tonight

The Stanley Cup Final returns Thursday with the series even — Golden Knights at Hurricanes, Game 5 at 8:00 PM ET on ABC, tied 2-2. MLB fills the day around it with an eight-game Thursday board that starts early and runs into the night. The NBA Finals are dark between Wednesday's Game 4 and the next game in New York's 3-1 series.
