Monday belonged to the Spurs and to a 12-inning track meet in Oakland. Victor Wembanyama went for 32 and 8 as San Antonio took NBA Finals Game 3 at Madison Square Garden 115-111, cutting the Knicks' series lead to 2-1. In the Coliseum nightcap, the Brewers and Athletics combined for 29 runs across 12 innings before Brice Turang's RBI single ended it 15-14 Milwaukee. The Stanley Cup Final was dark before Tuesday's Game 4 in Vegas.

NBA Finals — Spurs answer at MSG

San Antonio Spurs, 115 — New York Knicks, 111. NBA Finals Game 3 at Madison Square Garden. Victor Wembanyama led San Antonio with 32 points and 8 rebounds as the Spurs took the road game by four to cut the Knicks' series lead to 2-1. New York still has the home edge with Games 5 and 7 at MSG; San Antonio gets Game 4 at home Wednesday on ABC.

NHL — No games

The Stanley Cup Final was off, the day between Vegas-Carolina Games 3 and 4. The Golden Knights lead the series 2-1 and host Game 4 Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena, 8:00 PM ET on ABC, one win from the second championship in franchise history.

MLB — Eight-game Monday board

The lighter Monday slate ran with a 12-inning walk-off in Oakland, a Yankees road win in Cleveland, and a Phillies-Blue Jays interleague split-game.

Milwaukee Brewers, 15 — Athletics, 14. A 12-inning marathon at the Coliseum, ended by a Brice Turang RBI single in the top of the 12th — the highest-scoring game of the night by a margin.

New York Yankees, 7 — Cleveland Guardians, 5. The Yankees took the AL East / AL Central crossover at Progressive Field by two.

Philadelphia Phillies, 5 — Toronto Blue Jays, 2. Philadelphia took the interleague game at Rogers Centre by three.

Tampa Bay Rays, 3 — Boston Red Sox, 1. The Rays edged the Red Sox at the Trop in an AL East game decided by two.

Seattle Mariners, 6 — Baltimore Orioles, 3. Seattle handed Baltimore a 6-3 loss at Camden Yards in the AL West / AL East crossover.

Houston Astros, 5 — Los Angeles Angels, 4. Houston grabbed the Freeway-adjacent AL West game by a run at Angel Stadium.

San Diego Padres, 6 — Cincinnati Reds, 2. San Diego took the Petco game over the Reds by four.

Washington Nationals, 4 — San Francisco Giants, 3. Washington edged the Giants at Oracle Park by a single run.

What to watch tonight

The Stanley Cup Final returns and owns the night — Hurricanes at Golden Knights, Game 4, 8:00 PM ET on ABC, with Vegas one win from the Cup at 2-1. NBA Finals are dark before Wednesday's Game 4 at MSG. MLB fills the rest with a full 15-game Tuesday board headlined by Paul Skenes against the Dodgers at PNC. Full details in the Tonight preview.
