Friday put the Knicks on sweep watch and gave Victor Wembanyama a 39-and-15 line. New York handled Philadelphia at home to go up 3-0 in the East semis, and San Antonio held off Minnesota in a tighter Game 3 to push its West semifinal lead to 2-1. The NHL second round delivered two road statements: Montreal evened its series in Buffalo with a five-goal night, and Vegas buried Anaheim 6-2. Fifteen MLB games went final, headlined by a 10-0 Astros shutout in Cincinnati and a pair of one-run AL finishes.

New York Knicks, 108 — Philadelphia 76ers, 94. New York wins by 14 at Philadelphia in East semifinals Game 3 to take a 3-0 series lead. Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 33 points and 9 assists. New York can sweep with a Game 4 win.

San Antonio Spurs, 115 — Minnesota Timberwolves, 108. San Antonio wins by seven in West semifinals Game 3 to push its lead to 2-1. Victor Wembanyama posted 39 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks in the win.

NHL Playoffs — Habs answer in Game 2, Vegas hangs six

Two second-round games, both road wins. Montreal evened the East series; Vegas took a 2-1 lead in the West.

Montreal Canadiens, 5 — Buffalo Sabres, 1. Montreal wins by four on the road in Game 2 to even the East second round at 1-1. The series shifts to Montreal for Game 3.

Vegas Golden Knights, 6 — Anaheim Ducks, 2. Vegas wins by four on the road in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the West second round. Mitch Marner went for three goals and an assist; Shea Theodore added a goal and an assist.

MLB — 15 games go final, Astros 10-0 the biggest punch

A full Friday slate. Houston put up the night's only double-digit number, and the AL Central produced two one-run finishes.

Houston Astros, 10 — Cincinnati Reds, 0. Houston wins by 10 on the road in the night's biggest blowout. M. Burrows got the win and moved to 2-4 on the season.

Colorado Rockies, 9 — Philadelphia Phillies, 7. Colorado wins by two on the road in the night's highest-scoring game.

Athletics, 4 — Baltimore Orioles, 3. The A's win by one on the road in a one-run AL East finish.

Toronto Blue Jays, 2 — Los Angeles Angels, 0. Toronto wins by two at home with a shutout.

Boston Red Sox, 2 — Tampa Bay Rays, 0. Boston wins by two at home with a shutout.

Washington Nationals, 3 — Miami Marlins, 2. Washington wins by one on the road in a one-run NL East finish.

Cleveland Guardians, 6 — Minnesota Twins, 4. Cleveland wins by two at home in an AL Central matchup.
