Detroit erased an 8-2 deficit with a five-run eighth to beat the White Sox 11-8, Washington built a 9-0 lead and held off St. Louis 9-1, and Seattle survived a back-and-forth night in Colorado to win 5-4. Thirteen of fifteen scheduled MLB games finished; two late games in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh remained unsettled at publication time and will be reflected in tomorrow's recap.

Detroit Tigers 11, Chicago White Sox 8. Chicago's six-run first and two-run third built an 8-2 lead. Detroit chipped away with three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to get within two, then broke through with a five-run eighth to take the lead for good and win 11-8. Detroit out-hit Chicago 16-7 over the course of the comeback, with two Chicago errors compounding the collapse.

Washington Nationals 9, St. Louis Cardinals 1. Washington built the game early: three runs in the first, four more in the third, and single runs in the fourth and sixth put it at 9-0 before St. Louis's only run crossed in the eighth. The two sides finished tied at seven hits apiece, but St. Louis committed three errors to Washington's zero, turning a close game on paper into a rout.

Seattle Mariners 5, Colorado Rockies 4. Seattle scored three runs in the first, but Colorado chipped away with single runs in the first and fourth before a two-run sixth put the Rockies ahead 4-3. Seattle answered with a run in the seventh to tie it, then scored the go-ahead run in the ninth to escape with the win. Colorado out-hit Seattle 15-9 and still came up short.

Cleveland Guardians 5, Athletics 3. Down 3-0 after the first, Cleveland tied it with a three-run fourth and pulled away with single runs in the fifth and sixth.
Boston Red Sox 4, Tampa Bay Rays 2. Boston broke a first-inning tie with two runs in the second and one more in the third, then held on as Tampa Bay's other run came in the ninth. Boston out-hit Tampa Bay 9-5.
New York Mets 6, Philadelphia Phillies 3. New York opened with a three-run first and added three more in the sixth, enough to hold off Philadelphia, which scored single runs in the second, sixth and seventh.
Texas Rangers 7, Toronto Blue Jays 1. A four-run second inning put Texas in control, and the Rangers tacked on single runs in the fifth, sixth and eighth. Toronto committed three errors along the way.
Atlanta Braves 6, Houston Astros 2. Atlanta scored two runs in the fourth, seventh and ninth innings, while Houston managed single runs in the fourth and eighth. Atlanta out-hit Houston 11-5.
New York Yankees 9, Arizona Diamondbacks 2. New York's five-run first put the game away early; Arizona's only runs came in the second.
San Diego Padres 8, Miami Marlins 2. San Diego trailed 1-0 into the fifth before breaking the game open with a six-run frame, then added two more in the eighth.
Los Angeles Dodgers 8, San Francisco Giants 2. San Francisco briefly led 2-1 after the third, but Los Angeles answered with single runs in the fifth and sixth to go back in front, then salted it away with a five-run eighth. The win pushes the Dodgers to 94-60.
Minnesota Twins 3, Los Angeles Angels 0. Minnesota scored twice in the first and once more in the seventh to blank the Angels, who managed just four hits.
