MLB — Monday, July 6
Los Angeles Dodgers, 8 — Colorado Rockies, 7. The marquee finish. Dalton Rushing hit a walk-off single for Los Angeles, delivering a come-from-behind win over Colorado in the late closer. The Rockies had led but couldn't hold it in the final at-bats.
Washington Nationals, 12 — Houston Astros, 11. The wildest game on the Monday board. Washington edged Houston by one run in a high-scoring contest at home, handing the Astros a one-run road loss. Twenty-three combined runs and the home team needed every one of them.
Kansas City Royals, 15 — Philadelphia Phillies, 1. Kansas City romped at home, winning 15-1 over Philadelphia. The Royals built a commanding lead and the Phillies had no answer — one of the more decisive margins of the season.
New York Mets, 7 — Atlanta Braves, 6. New York won again in Atlanta, 7-6. The Mets backed up Sunday's 10-9 thriller with another one-run road win over the Braves, continuing a strong stretch against Atlanta.
Milwaukee Brewers, 4 — St. Louis Cardinals, 3. Milwaukee held on for a 4-3 road win in St. Louis. The Cardinals couldn't close the one-run gap, and the Brewers took the series opener.
Arizona Diamondbacks, 8 — San Diego Padres, 0. Arizona shut out San Diego on the road, 8-0. The Diamondbacks were dominant throughout — a clean road win against the Padres.
San Francisco Giants, 10 — Toronto Blue Jays, 1. San Francisco rolled Toronto at home, 10-1. The Giants built a big early lead and controlled the game from start to finish.
New York Yankees, 5 — Tampa Bay Rays, 1. New York won again in Tampa Bay, 5-1. The Yankees held the Rays to one run, picking up a road win in the continuing series.
