Tuesday belonged to Vegas. The Golden Knights stole home ice in Raleigh to open the Stanley Cup Final, and the rest of the night was MLB. Fifteen games, two shutouts at the top, and Seattle's win streak climbing to eight. The NBA board was dark for the third straight night, with the Finals waiting until Wednesday.
NHL — Stanley Cup Final, Game 1
Vegas Golden Knights, 5 — Carolina Hurricanes, 4. Vegas stole Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Carolina's ice. Shea Theodore put up 1 goal and 2 assists on a +2 night to lead the visitors. Series: VGK leads series 1-0. Game 2 goes Thursday in Raleigh.
NBA — No games
The NBA board was dark for a third straight night. The Finals tip Wednesday, June 3 in San Antonio, with the New York Knicks visiting the Spurs for Game 1 on ABC.

Los Angeles Dodgers, 6 — Arizona Diamondbacks, 5. The Dodgers edged the Diamondbacks by one in the late West window.
Minnesota Twins, 6 — Chicago White Sox, 4. Minnesota out-scored the White Sox by two at Target Field.
Atlanta Braves, 4 — Toronto Blue Jays, 3. Atlanta edged Toronto by one at home.
Baltimore Orioles, 4 — Boston Red Sox, 2. Baltimore took the opener at Fenway by two.
Cincinnati Reds, 4 — Kansas City Royals, 3. Cincinnati edged Kansas City by one at home.
Philadelphia Phillies, 3 — San Diego Padres, 2. Philadelphia took the TBS national window by one.
Oakland Athletics, 2 — Chicago Cubs, 1. Oakland edged the Cubs at Wrigley in the tightest pitcher's duel on the slate.
What to watch tonight
