San Antonio Spurs, 139 — Minnesota Timberwolves, 109. San Antonio wins by 30 on the road to take the West Semifinals 4-2 and book the Western Conference Finals against Oklahoma City. Stephon Castle led the way with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists; Minnesota's season ends in the second round.
Detroit Pistons, 115 — Cleveland Cavaliers, 94. Detroit wins by 21 on the road in Cleveland to tie the East Semifinals 3-3. The Pistons force a Game 7 back in Detroit on Sunday with a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals on the line.
MLB — 15-game Friday, three shutouts, Subway Series opener to the Yankees
Fifteen games, three shutouts, five one- or two-run finishes, and one club in double digits. The Cubs were the only team to crack double digits and did it in the Crosstown opener.
Chicago Cubs, 10 — Chicago White Sox, 5. Chicago wins by five on the road in the Crosstown opener, the only double-digit total on the board.
Philadelphia Phillies, 11 — Pittsburgh Pirates, 9. Philadelphia wins a two-run shootout on the road in the highest-scoring game of the night.
Arizona Diamondbacks, 9 — Colorado Rockies, 1. Arizona wins by eight at Coors Field, the night's biggest blowout.
Los Angeles Dodgers, 6 — Los Angeles Angels, 0. Los Angeles wins by six on the road in the Freeway Series opener, the first of three shutouts.
Houston Astros, 2 — Texas Rangers, 0. Houston wins by two at home in the Silver Boot opener, the second shutout.
San Diego Padres, 2 — Seattle Mariners, 0. San Diego wins by two on the road, the third shutout of the night.
Tampa Bay Rays, 7 — Miami Marlins, 2. Tampa Bay wins by five at home in the interleague matchup.
New York Yankees, 5 — New York Mets, 2. New York wins by three on the road, taking the Subway Series opener at Citi Field.
Cincinnati Reds, 7 — Cleveland Guardians, 6. Cincinnati wins by one on the road in the Ohio Cup opener.
