Tuesday put one team one win from the Western Conference Finals in each of the NBA and the NHL. San Antonio buried Minnesota by 29 in a Game 5 rout to take a 3-2 series lead, with Victor Wembanyama going for 27 and 17 a game after his first career ejection. Vegas needed overtime to beat Anaheim 3-2 and move up 3-2 in the West second round, while Buffalo squared its East second round at 2-2 with a 3-2 road win in Montreal. MLB ran a full 15-game Tuesday slate, with Seattle and the Mets each putting up double-digit runs.

NBA Playoffs — Spurs put the Wolves on the brink

One game on the Tuesday board, and it swung a series. San Antonio is now one win from the Western Conference Finals.

San Antonio Spurs, 126 — Minnesota Timberwolves, 97. San Antonio wins by 29 in West Semifinals Game 5 to take a 3-2 series lead. Victor Wembanyama bounced back from his first career ejection for 27 points and 17 rebounds, leading a rout that puts the Spurs one win from the West Finals. Minnesota now has to win Games 6 and 7 to advance.

NHL Playoffs — Vegas wins in OT, Sabres even Montreal

Two games on the second-round board. One ended in a 4:10 overtime goal that pushed Vegas to the brink of the West Finals; the other leveled an East series that looked tilted 24 hours ago.

Vegas Golden Knights, 3 — Anaheim Ducks, 2 (OT). Vegas wins Game 5 by one in overtime to take a 3-2 lead in the West 2nd Round. Pavel Dorofeyev scored his second of the night at 4:10 of OT to settle it, leaving Anaheim one loss from elimination and the Golden Knights one win from the Western Conference Finals.

Buffalo Sabres, 3 — Montreal Canadiens, 2. Buffalo wins Game 4 by one on the road to even the East 2nd Round at 2-2. Montreal had led the series 2-1 going in. The second round is now a best-of-three with Game 5 back in Buffalo.

MLB — 15-game Tuesday, Mariners and Mets blowouts lead the board

Fifteen games, four double-digit winners, no extras anywhere. Seattle's 10-2 road win in Houston was the biggest score of the night.

Cleveland Guardians, 3 — Los Angeles Angels, 2. Cleveland wins by one in a tight AL matchup.

New York Yankees, 6 — Baltimore Orioles, 2. New York wins by four in an AL East matchup.

Pittsburgh Pirates, 3 — Colorado Rockies, 1. Pittsburgh wins by two.

Washington Nationals, 10 — Cincinnati Reds, 4. Washington wins by six in a double-digit road night.

Philadelphia Phillies, 2 — Boston Red Sox, 1. Philadelphia wins by one in the night's tightest result.

Tampa Bay Rays, 7 — Toronto Blue Jays, 6. Tampa Bay wins by one in an AL East one-run finish.

New York Mets, 10 — Detroit Tigers, 2. New York wins by eight at home.

Atlanta Braves, 5 — Chicago Cubs, 2. Atlanta wins by three.

Chicago White Sox, 6 — Kansas City Royals, 5. Chicago wins by one in another one-run AL Central finish.

Minnesota Twins, 3 — Miami Marlins, 0. Minnesota wins by three with a shutout, the lone whitewash on the board.

Milwaukee Brewers, 6 — San Diego Padres, 4. Milwaukee wins by two.

Texas Rangers, 7 — Arizona Diamondbacks, 4. Texas wins by three.

Seattle Mariners, 10 — Houston Astros, 2. Seattle wins by eight on the road, the biggest blowout of the board.

St. Louis Cardinals, 6 — Athletics, 4. St. Louis wins by two.

San Francisco Giants, 6 — Los Angeles Dodgers, 2. San Francisco wins by four on the road over the defending NL West, a second straight series win against Los Angeles.
