Pistons steal Game 1 in Cleveland 111-101 in East semis. Thunder roll Lakers 108-90 in West. Avs go up 2-0 on the Wild. Astros edge Ohtani 2-1 in Houston.

Tuesday opened the other two NBA Conference Semifinal series — both road wins for the favorites — and Colorado pushed Minnesota to a 2-0 hole in Denver. Thirteen MLB games went final, two more got washed out, and the Astros pulled out a 2-1 night in Houston with Ohtani on the mound for the losing side.

NBA Playoffs — Pistons steal Game 1, Thunder thump the Lakers

Two Game 1s on the board. Detroit took home court back from Cleveland in the East, and Oklahoma City made quick work of the Lakers in the West semifinal opener.

Detroit Pistons, 111 — Cleveland Cavaliers, 101. Detroit wins by 10 in East semifinals Game 1. The Pistons protected home floor and built enough cushion to absorb a Cleveland push. Detroit leads the series 1-0.

Oklahoma City Thunder, 108 — Los Angeles Lakers, 90. Oklahoma City wins by 18 in West semifinals Game 1. Chet Holmgren put up 24 points and 12 rebounds, and Austin Reaves had a brutal night for the Lakers, shooting 3-for-16 with four turnovers. Oklahoma City leads the series 1-0.

NHL Playoffs — Avs push Wild to 2-0

One game on the Tuesday board. Colorado took care of business at home and now travels to Saint Paul up two games to none.

Colorado Avalanche, 5 — Minnesota Wild, 2. Colorado wins Game 2 of the West second round at home. Nathan MacKinnon put up a goal and two assists, and the Avs added an empty-netter to seal it. Colorado leads the series 2-0.

MLB — 13 games go final, two postponed

Thirteen games went final. The Cardinals-Brewers (makeup 7/7) and Mets-Rockies (makeup 5/7) games were postponed for inclement weather.

Philadelphia Phillies, 9 — Oakland Athletics, 1. Philadelphia wins by eight at home.

Baltimore Orioles, 9 — Miami Marlins, 7. Baltimore wins by two on the road in a 16-run game.

Boston Red Sox, 10 — Detroit Tigers, 3. Boston wins by seven on the road.

Tampa Bay Rays, 4 — Toronto Blue Jays, 3. Tampa Bay wins by one at home in the night's tightest AL East finish.

Minnesota Twins, 11 — Washington Nationals, 3. Minnesota wins by eight on the road in a 14-run game.

New York Yankees, 7 — Texas Rangers, 4. New York wins by three at home.

Chicago Cubs, 3 — Cincinnati Reds, 2. Chicago wins by one at home in a five-run, one-run-margin finish.

Kansas City Royals, 5 — Cleveland Guardians, 3. Kansas City wins by two at home in an AL Central matchup.

Houston Astros, 2 — Los Angeles Dodgers, 1. Houston wins by one at home. Peter Lambert outpitched Shohei Ohtani in the night's tightest MLB game.

Los Angeles Angels, 4 — Chicago White Sox, 3. Los Angeles wins by one at home.

Atlanta Braves, 3 — Seattle Mariners, 2. Atlanta wins by one on the road in a five-run, one-run-margin finish.

Arizona Diamondbacks, 9 — Pittsburgh Pirates, 0. Arizona wins by nine at home in a shutout.

San Diego Padres, 10 — San Francisco Giants, 5. San Diego wins by five on the road in a 15-run NL West game.

What to watch tonight
