Saturday delivered one of the bigger upsets of the NBA postseason. The Sixers won Game 7 in Boston to finish a 3-1 series comeback against the top-seeded Celtics. The NHL second round opened in Carolina with a Hurricanes shutout, and a 15-game MLB slate was led by a Pirates 17-7 demolition of Cincinnati.

Philadelphia 76ers, 109 — Boston Celtics, 100. Philadelphia wins the series 4-3. The Sixers came back from 3-1 down to take Game 7 in Boston, ending the top-seeded Celtics' season in the first round. Tyrese Maxey put up 30 points and 11 rebounds and ESPN's recap flagged "back-to-back lay-ins in crunch time" as the swing sequence late.
NHL Playoffs — Hurricanes blank the Flyers in Round 2 opener
One game on the Saturday board. Carolina set the tone in Game 1.
Carolina Hurricanes, 3 — Philadelphia Flyers, 0. Carolina leads the East 2nd Round series 1-0. Logan Stankoven scored twice in a Game 1 shutout, and Rick Tocchet acknowledged after the buzzer that Philadelphia was "not mentally prepared" for the matchup after advancing from round one.
MLB — Pirates 17-7, Guardians 14-6, full Saturday slate
Fifteen games on the Saturday board.
Pittsburgh Pirates, 17 — Cincinnati Reds, 7. Pittsburgh wins by 10 in a 24-run game. The Pirates piled on Cincinnati for the night's biggest margin.
Cleveland Guardians, 14 — Athletics, 6. Cleveland wins by eight on the road in a 20-run game. The Guardians put up 14 in the Bay Area.
Toronto Blue Jays, 11 — Minnesota Twins, 4. Toronto wins by seven on the road. The Blue Jays handed the Twins their second straight loss in the series.
Atlanta Braves, 9 — Colorado Rockies, 1. Atlanta wins by eight on the road at Coors. A clean Braves road win in a 10-run game.
New York Yankees, 9 — Baltimore Orioles, 4. New York wins by five at home. ESPN's recap pointed to "Bellinger's big day" carrying the Yankees' offense.
Houston Astros, 6 — Boston Red Sox, 3. Houston wins by three on the road at Fenway.
Detroit Tigers, 5 — Texas Rangers, 1. Detroit wins by four at home. The Tigers handled Texas in a six-run game.
Tampa Bay Rays, 5 — San Francisco Giants, 1. Tampa Bay wins by four at home in a six-run game.
Milwaukee Brewers, 4 — Washington Nationals, 1. Milwaukee wins by three on the road. The Brewers held Washington to one in a five-run game.
Miami Marlins, 4 — Philadelphia Phillies, 0. Miami wins by four at home in a shutout. The Marlins blanked the Phillies.
San Diego Padres, 4 — Chicago White Sox, 0. San Diego wins by four at home in a shutout.
Los Angeles Angels, 4 — New York Mets, 3. Los Angeles wins by one at home. The Angels held off the Mets in a one-run finish.
St. Louis Cardinals, 3 — Los Angeles Dodgers, 2. St. Louis wins by one at home. The Cardinals edged the Dodgers in a five-run, one-run-margin finish.
Kansas City Royals, 3 — Seattle Mariners, 2. Kansas City wins by one on the road. The Royals took it by a run in Seattle.
Chicago Cubs, 2 — Arizona Diamondbacks, 0. Chicago wins by two at home in a shutout. The Cubs blanked Arizona in a low-scoring finish.
