Cleveland swept a doubleheader from Detroit, winning the opener on a walk-off and the nightcap in extra innings, St. Louis erased a ninth-inning deficit in Colorado, and Atlanta stretched its NL East lead in a 16-game MLB night.

Cleveland Guardians 7, Detroit Tigers 6 (Game 1). Detroit jumped out with a four-run first, but Cleveland's five-run fourth tied it at 6-6. Neither team scored again until the Guardians pushed one across in the bottom of the ninth to walk it off. Cleveland (72-70) came right back to beat Detroit (64-77) 4-3 in the nightcap, which went to extra innings, for a doubleheader sweep.

St. Louis Cardinals 7, Colorado Rockies 6. Colorado led 6-4 entering the ninth, but St. Louis scored three times in the top of the inning to steal it. The Rockies out-hit the Cardinals 10-9 and still lost.

Atlanta Braves 5, Philadelphia Phillies 2. Atlanta (84-57) beat Philadelphia (79-62) to push its NL East lead to five games with the regular season winding down.
