Minnesota Twins 15, Detroit Tigers 2. Minnesota broke a tied game open with a 10-run sixth inning, out-hitting Detroit 13-8 on the night.

Milwaukee Brewers 9, Chicago Cubs 4. Milwaukee (86-53) backed a four-run sixth to beat Chicago (78-61), stretching MLB's best record and the Brewers' NL Central lead to eight games. The two teams meet again tonight at Wrigley.

Cincinnati Reds 4, San Diego Padres 3. The teams were tied 2-2 through five innings before Cincinnati scored twice in the eighth to break it open, then held on as San Diego answered with a run in the ninth.

Texas Rangers 8, Athletics 5. Texas scored three runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth, back-to-back innings that put the game away.
