San Diego's pitching staff held Atlanta to zero runs, the White Sox survived a one-run game against Cleveland, and the Dodgers bounced back from Sunday's blowout with a 2-1 road win in Minneapolis. Twelve games ran to completion on a full MLB Monday board; the Cubs and Mets were rained out at Citi Field and rescheduled for June 24. The NBA and NHL are both in the offseason.

Detroit Tigers, 5 — New York Yankees, 3. Detroit took the series opener at Comerica Park, the Tigers handling New York by two.
Tampa Bay Rays, 2 — Kansas City Royals, 1. A tight one in St. Petersburg. Tampa Bay beat Kansas City by a single run.
Texas Rangers, 4 — Miami Marlins, 3. Texas held on in Miami, taking the road win by one run.
Washington Nationals, 4 — Philadelphia Phillies, 1. Washington beat Philadelphia by three at Nationals Park, the Phillies failing to take Monday's series opener.
Toronto Blue Jays, 4 — Houston Astros, 2. Toronto handled Houston by two at Rogers Centre.
Milwaukee Brewers, 2 — Cincinnati Reds, 1. A one-run game in Cincinnati. The Brewers took it on the road by a single run.
Chicago White Sox, 6 — Cleveland Guardians, 5. The closest American League finish of the night. Chicago held off Cleveland by one at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Los Angeles Dodgers, 2 — Minnesota Twins, 1. Los Angeles won a road one-run game in Minneapolis, bouncing back from Sunday's 12-1 loss to Baltimore. The Dodgers take Game 1 of the series.
St. Louis Cardinals, 3 — Arizona Diamondbacks, 2. St. Louis edged Arizona by one at Busch Stadium, the Cardinals winning the series opener at home.
Colorado Rockies, 3 — Boston Red Sox, 2. Boston dropped a one-run game at Coors Field, Colorado picking up the home win.
Baltimore Orioles, 6 — Los Angeles Angels, 1. Baltimore handed the Angels a five-run loss in Anaheim, the Orioles rolling on the road.
San Diego Padres, 1 — Atlanta Braves, 0. The night's marquee pitching result. Mason King earned the win; Mason Miller came on to record his 21st save. San Diego held Atlanta off the board entirely in a 1-0 finish at Petco Park.
Chicago Cubs at New York Mets — Postponed, rain. Makeup date: June 24.

Baseball continues Tuesday with a 15-game board running from 4:07 PM through 9:45 PM ET. The Dodgers and Twins play again in Minneapolis on TBS, and the Braves and Padres renew in San Diego.
