Baltimore trailed 3-0 after the first inning, tied it by the sixth, and scored two in the eighth to beat Toronto 4-3. Detroit and San Francisco both pulled away with mid-game outbursts, and the NFL's Week 3 opened with the Rams routing the Giants 28-6 on Monday night.

Baltimore Orioles 4, Toronto Blue Jays 3. Toronto scored three runs in the top of the first, but Baltimore (76-81) answered immediately with a run in the bottom of the inning, tied it with another in the sixth, and took the lead for good on a two-run eighth. Toronto (77-80) was held scoreless the rest of the way and did not answer in the ninth.
