Seattle and Boston both needed the bottom of the ninth to win it, Los Angeles erased an early three-run hole to beat Pittsburgh, and a full 15-game MLB Saturday ran alongside a 10-game NFL preseason slate.

San Francisco Giants, 2 — Boston Red Sox, 3. Boston (70-59) was scoreless through eight innings before erupting for three runs in the bottom of the ninth to walk off San Francisco (52-77) — the night's second last-at-bat finish.
