MLB — July 29, 2026 (16 games)

Miami Marlins, 8 — Philadelphia Phillies, 6. Down 6-0 to the Phillies, Miami's offense took over. The Marlins erased the deficit and came away with an 8-6 win at loanDepot park, completing the sweep of Philadelphia. That's the biggest comeback on Wednesday's card — six runs down, series swept.

St. Louis Cardinals, 3 — Chicago Cubs, 2 (extras). Chicago went to Busch Stadium and put up 10 runs Tuesday. Wednesday, the Cardinals answered with a walk-off win in extra innings — 3-2 final. Series even after two games; Thursday afternoon is the rubber game in St. Louis.

Baltimore Orioles, 10 — Detroit Tigers, 9 (12 innings). Detroit handed Baltimore a 14-0 shutout Tuesday night. Wednesday, the Orioles came back and pushed the Tigers to 12 innings, winning 10-9. Baltimore takes the series.

• Washington Nationals at Atlanta Braves, 7:00 PM ET (ESPN) — Atlanta opens a homestand on the national broadcast. Braves host the primetime slot after splitting the Mets doubleheader Wednesday.
• New York Yankees at Chicago White Sox, 2:10 PM ET — Series tied 1-1 after Chicago's 6-5 win Wednesday. Afternoon rubber game at Guaranteed Rate Field with AL East urgency.
