Pittsburgh needed ten innings to close out Arizona. M. Montgomery (4-3, 3.95 ERA) got the win in relief; T. Clarke (2-2, 2.23 ERA) absorbed the loss after holding things through nine. The Pirates walk off at PNC Park, 3-2. A well-pitched extra-inning game decided in the final frame.
Eleven games played Monday. Cleveland and Cincinnati were rained out and will play a day-night doubleheader Tuesday.
